Eleonora Quartieri is graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at University of Parma (2018).

She spent her thesis period at Chemistry Department of University of Parma working in the PRIN Project 2015 “Metal ions, dopamine and oxidative stress in Parkinson’s disease”. In particular, she studied the binding and reactivity of copper and iron to model peptides of proteins alpha-synuclein and tau.

She is a second year-PhD student in Molecular Medicine at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Parma with a fellowship from AUSL-IRCSS di Reggio Emilia.

Her research project is in Metabolomics in Biomedicine, using different biofluids: 1. Saliva - characterization of whole, parotid and submandibular/sublingual metabolome in healthy subjects and the search of biomarkers of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) at different stage; 2.
